Emanuel Lutheran Day Care acts on behalf of the children and families of the community of Modesto by providing loving, positive, and developmentally appropriate care for their children. By building Christ centered, positive, trusting relationships, we nurture the spiritual growth of children and strengthen families. Our vision is to focus on acceptance of others and celebration of individual and cultural differences. We teach children about God's love by incorporating religion into our daily program with weekly chapel, prayers before each meal, relating Bible stories and singing songs.
Our paid staff, led by a volunteer executive board, provides award-winning infant and preschool Day Care services. Our program is phenomenal, with an extraordinary teaching staff. Our Pre-K classroom prepares our children for kindergarten, teaching them to recognize and write their names, the letters and sounds of the alphabet, counting and recognizing numbers, developing pre-writing, cognitive, socialization, and motor skills. Emanuel member volunteers help with music and reading activities.
